Who Are We? In Perspective

Stepping Stones Trust Fund. We are a NON-PROFIT Organisation specifically registered in Tanzania in 2008 to support former street boys and pastoralist girls who are generally invisible, vulnerable and excluded members of society.

Our aim is to raise funds of no less than  $6 Million from Beneficiaries like you from an initial period of ten years. The funds will be be invested in this Trust Fund, the income from which will be used to support the lives and development of the former street boys and pastoralist girls.

We will allocate funds to the projects principally by means of grants to ensure that the seed we sow both alleviates an immediate problem and does so in a way that future generations will also benefit. It is also expected that the grants will act as a catalyst encouraging the young beneficiaries to progress and realise their dreams. We highly value local contributions being made to the projects to create a sense of ownership that will enhance the success of the project.

Stepping Stones is a young Trust. The idea of the Trust Fund came from a need to enable two existing projects in Tanzania to become sustainable and enable them to look after their existing compliment of children. This requirement of continuity was spawned by one of our founders, Mr. Paddy Hoon, an ex-British Army officer, who has been running businesses in Tanzania for over two decades. With this vision and perception, your investment will be well looked after and made to work for the needy children of Tanzania.
