Message from Founder
Hello!, I am Sister Jean Pruitt. I have been given so much in my Forty years in Tanzania but nothing fills me with more joy than seeing the sun and moon rise in the smile of a vulnerable boy just off the streets of Dar es Salaam. They are on the streets because of grinding poverty that has enveloped their families coupled with the HIV/AIDS pandemic. I ask you to partner with me in investing in the future, your future. If you help me educate our vulnerable boys and girls they will create a greater space for peace and security in our Global Community. Invest in this precious human resource and you will see the unfolding of creative and talented children who without your care will never realize their potential. We closely work with a other Charity and Trust organizations in Tanzania including the famous
BRITAIN-TANZANIA society.
Former Ambassador
Britain's ambassador, Philip Parham, has been transferred to the United Nations, New York United States. Last week
he had a special interview with the Good Citizen, of among other things, about the solutions of the great poverty of the Tanzanians, this is
posted here.
The full interview is posted here in Kiswahili.

Endowment Projects
We are a non profit organisation
specifically set up in
Tanzania in 2008 to
support former street
boys and pastoralist
girls who are generally
invisible, vulnerable
and excluded members of
society.
Our aim is to raise funds of no less than $6
Million from beneficiaries
like you for an initial
period of ten 10 years.
The funds will be
invested in this Trust
Fund, the income from
which will be used to
support the lives and
development of the
former street boys and
pastoralist girls.
Our Mission
We will allocate funds to the
projects principally by means of
grants to ensure that the seed we sow both
alleviates an immediate problem and
does so in a way that future
generations will also benefit. It is also
expected that the grants will act as
a catalyst encouraging the young
beneficiaries to progress and
realise their dreams. We highly
value local contributions being made to the projects to create a
sense of ownership that will enhance the success of the project.
Stepping Stones is a young Trust. The idea of the Trust Fund came
from a need to enable two existing projects in Tanzania to become
sustainable and enable them to look after their existing compliment
of children. This requirement of continuity was spawned by one of
our founders, Mr. Paddy Hoon, an ex-British Army officer, who has
been running businesses in Tanzania for over two decades. With this
vision and perception, your investment will be well looked after and
made to work for the needy children of Tanzania.
